Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has launched the “Ofuq” platform, an integrated digital system designed to enhance the university experience and connect students’ education with their career paths. The platform takes students through an integrated process that begins with learning, continues through guidance and career preparation, and concludes with documenting their skills and achievements in a verified profile that reflects their readiness for the future.
The “Ofuq” platform is part of the University’s efforts to enhance students’ digital experience and use modern technologies to improve educational, guidance, and career services. It shifts from separate services to an interconnected digital experience centered on students and their needs throughout their university life.
The platform is built around four interconnected stages that represent the student journey: Learning → Guidance → Assessment → Documentation. During the learning stage, it provides an adaptive learning experience that responds to each student’s level, needs, and abilities rather than relying on a single learning path for all students.
During the guidance stage, an AI assistant provides students with support and guidance to help them benefit from appropriate programs and services. It also helps them identify the steps best suited to their educational and career paths, enabling them to make clearer decisions throughout their university experience.
In the assessment stage, the platform offers a simulated job-readiness assessment that allows students to experience conditions similar to the actual assessment before taking it. This helps them measure their level of preparation and identify areas that require further development and improvement.
The student journey through “Ofuq” concludes with a verified Skills Passport, which provides an organized and reliable digital record of students’ skills and achievements. The passport allows these accomplishments to be documented in a way that supports their academic and career paths and prepares them for the transition to the labor market.
The launch of the “Ofuq” platform is part of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University’s ongoing efforts in digital transformation, innovation, service development, and improving the beneficiary experience. It also reflects the University’s focus on equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and digital tools that prepare them for the future and support their transition from university life to the labor market.
