Transfer to PSAU
Transferring from another university to Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) requires the following:
- The student must be a Saudi national or have a Saudi mother.
- The student must be currently enrolled in a public university.
- The student must submit the transfer request within the designated period for external transfers through the External Transfer Portal.
- The student must have completed at least one academic year and two semesters in the designated department after finishing the preparatory year program.
- The student’s composite or equivalent score for the intended major must not be lower than the minimum score accepted in the last semester.
- The student must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification from within or outside Saudi Arabia. The University Council will determine the equivalency of certificates within Saudi Arabia based on the College Council’s recommendation, and the Ministry of Education’s Equivalency Committee will evaluate foreign certificates.
- No more than five years should have passed since the student obtained their high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Transfer is not accepted into the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry.
- The student must meet the specific requirements for the desired major, which will be announced on the Deanship of Admission and Registration’s webpage.
- The student must not have been dismissed from the previous university for disciplinary or academic reasons. If it is discovered after the transfer that the student was expelled for disciplinary reasons, their admission to PSAU will be canceled.
- The student must complete at least 60% of the credit hours required for the bachelor's degree at PSAU.
- The number of credit hours completed by the student in a course must be equal to or greater than the number of hours in the equivalent course at PSAU.
- The content of the course the student wishes to transfer must match at least 80% of the content of the equivalent course at PSAU.
- The student must have earned a grade of “Good” or higher in the course they wish to transfer.
- The transfer will only be finalized after the completion of the credit transfer process.
- The transfer process must be coordinated between the Deanships of Admission and Registration at both universities and the relevant colleges.
- The College Council will approve course transfers based on the recommendations of the relevant departments. Transferred courses will be recorded in the student's academic record, but they will not be included in the GPA calculation—only the credit hours will be counted.
- Submitting the transfer request does not guarantee acceptance. The response will be given after reviewing the transfer request through the External Transfer Portal.
- Transfer is allowed only for full-time students (regular to regular study).
- Transfer from a lower degree to a higher degree is not permitted.
