The Digital Innovation Unit at the General Administration of Information Technology organized a workshop titled “Innovation: Concepts and Applications” on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Attended by members of the university community, the workshop was part of the Unit’s efforts to foster a culture of innovation and raise awareness of its importance and role in enhancing the university work environment.
The workshop explored the concept and significance of innovation, along with its key areas and applications. It also outlined the stages of the innovation process, from identifying opportunities and challenges to generating ideas, developing solutions, testing and implementing them, and ultimately transforming them into tangible value.
The workshop also highlighted the role of innovation in improving services and processes, enhancing the beneficiary experience, and increasing efficiency. Participants were encouraged to embrace innovative thinking and contribute practical ideas and solutions that can be effectively implemented.
The workshop reflects the Digital Innovation Unit’s ongoing efforts to support Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, developing the innovative capabilities of its community, and raising awareness of practices that help transform ideas into impactful, value-creating solutions.
