Research Support Program for Achieving Development and Sustainability Goals in Al-Kharj Governorate

Research Directions:

1. Enhancing Industrial Growth: Research focusing on improving industry, productivity, and efficiency across various industrial sectors.
2. Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture: Studies aimed at achieving food security by promoting sustainable agriculture and improving food supply chains.
3. Addressing Social Challenges: Research targeting major social challenges in the governorate, such as improving healthcare, education, and employment.
4. Infrastructure Development and Urban Growth: Studies focusing on urban and rural infrastructure development and improving the quality of life in the region.
5. Technological Development and Innovation: Research aimed at developing new technologies and innovations that benefit multiple sectors in the governorate.
6. Environmental Sustainability: Studies exploring ways to enhance environmental sustainability and address climate change and its impacts.
7. Promoting Local Economy: Research on stimulating economic growth in the governorate, enhancing entrepreneurship, and promoting innovation.

Funding Amount:

• Up to 25,000 SAR per research project.

Project Duration:

• The timeline for preparing and publishing the research is nine months.

Conditions and Regulations:

• The principal investigator must be a faculty member at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
• The research must align with the goals of economic and agricultural development in Al-Kharj Governorate.
• The research proposal, or any part of it, must not have been previously published or funded by any entity, either within or outside the university.
• The principal investigator must be the first or corresponding author for all project outputs.
• The research must be published in a scientific journal indexed in the Scopus database.
• All published research must include an acknowledgment of financial support from Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
• The amount of funding depends on the quality of the proposal, its objectives, and the expected outcomes from the project.
