PSAU launched the “Ibraa” Club, affiliated with the College of Pharmacy, on Monday at the main auditorium of the Al-Kharj campus. The launch was attended by Dean of the College of Pharmacy Dr. Manal Al-Osaimi, along with academic leaders, faculty members, and students.
The club seeks to strengthen the role of Saudi pharmacy professionals in community service and enrich students’ health and applied knowledge. Under its 2026–2027 operational plan, it will organize more than 30 specialized and community programs covering scientific research, medication awareness, clinical skills, and innovation.
Planned activities include programs such as “Manara” and the “Scientific Council,” as well as competitions that simulate professional practice, including the “Clinical Skills” and “Medication Challenge” competitions. The club will also offer specialized workshops on professional ethics, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoeconomics, and pharmacy leadership.
The club will also launch a series of community outreach and awareness initiatives to promote health awareness among different segments of society. These include initiatives on the safe use of painkillers, proper medication disposal, drug interactions, and medication use during Ramadan. Scientific field visits will also be organized to major pharmaceutical factories, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center to connect theoretical learning with practical environments.
The launch ceremony also included the opening of an accompanying exhibition in the lobby of Building 6 on campus, featuring posters and introductory materials about the club’s committees and regulations. The College invited students interested in joining the club and participating in its activities to apply through PSAU’s “Nashaty” e-platform.
