PSAU, represented by the College of Education, organized the “World Teachers’ Day 2026” forum on Tuesday under the patronage of the Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs. Held at the College’s main auditorium on the Al-Kharj campus, the event brought together academics, specialists, and students to highlight the future role of teachers amid rapid digital change.
The forum opened with a panel discussion titled “Teachers in the Age of the Digital Revolution: Needs and Responsibilities,” moderated by Dr. Wael Al-Harbi and featuring Dr. Issa Al-Dosari and Prof. Reem Al-Ali. The discussion addressed current educational approaches, the development of teachers’ digital skills, and ways to help educators understand and apply modern technologies in learning environments.
The forum also featured a range of online interactive activities, including field-based educational experiences presented by students and graduates of postgraduate programs in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. An electronic wall titled “A Lasting Impact” was launched on Padlet to provide a space for expressing appreciation for educators. A competition was also held for the best design and video about Teachers’ Day, with the winning entries honored.
A training workshop titled “Flexible E-Learning and Training Environments in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was delivered by Dr. Maha Al-Abdulkarim, focusing on methods for developing digital learning environments and using AI technologies in education.
The forum concluded with a set of educational recommendations calling for the development of teaching methods and continued support for teachers in strengthening their skills and capabilities in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
