Female students from PSAU’s College of Medicine won third place in the “Proactive Healthcare” track at the second Digital Health Innovation Hackathon, “Healthon 2026,” organized by King Saud University Medical City in Riyadh from October 1 to 4.
The event brought together students, developers, researchers, innovators, and healthcare professionals from across the Kingdom to promote innovation in the healthcare sector, improve quality of life, and encourage creative approaches to addressing healthcare challenges.
The PSAU team, comprising Deem Al-Ajmi, Ghada Al-Lazzam, and Lujain Al-Dosari, presented an innovative project based on proactive solutions to improve healthcare services and reduce risks before they occur. The project received strong praise from the judging panel and participating experts for the quality of the idea and its practical potential.
The achievement reflects the scientific and research capabilities of PSAU students and supports the University’s efforts to empower national talent and encourage the development of digital solutions that meet the needs of the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.
“Healthon 2026” featured four main tracks: health insurance technologies, proactive healthcare, digital patient experience, and women’s digital health. The tracks addressed current trends in healthcare innovation and supported the development of healthcare services in line with digital transformation goals and Saudi Vision 2030.
