Prof. Mishari Al-Assimi, Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs at PSAU, took part in the 20th meeting of the Committee of Saudi University Vice Presidents for Educational and Academic Affairs, hosted by King Khalid University. The meeting brought together vice presidents from various Saudi universities alongside representatives from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.
Discussions focused on key topics related to the development of academic programs across Saudi universities, strategies to enhance academic cooperation among higher education institutions, and aligning educational outcomes with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The meeting also addressed ways to improve the quality of educational output and expand research and knowledge-based partnerships.
Participants examined current challenges facing the academic landscape and explored collaborative approaches between universities and regulatory bodies to address them. Additional topics included updating academic plans and aligning curricula with labor market needs.
Prof. Al-Assimi emphasized the significance of the meeting as a national platform for exchanging expertise and coordinating efforts across Saudi universities to advance higher education. He praised the committee’s leadership role and highlighted the productive collaboration with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission in supporting long-term academic excellence.
The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at advancing the Kingdom’s educational landscape, strengthening joint initiatives, and fostering institutional development to better serve both students and faculty members.
