The Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of Universities Affairs, Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan, paid a visit to PSAU, where he was welcomed by the University President Prof. Abdullah Al-Tamimi and several senior university officials.
The visit commenced with a comprehensive presentation that highlighted the university’s journey since its establishment in 2009. The presentation showcased PSAU’s key achievements in research and innovation, along with the prestigious awards it has received at the global, regional, and national levels in recognition of its academic and research distinction.
During his meeting with the university leadership, H.E. the Minister emphasized the unwavering support of the Kingdom’s leadership for the education sector and the vital role Saudi universities play in advancing the goals of Vision 2030. He also commended the university’s efforts to enhance the educational environment and strengthen research and innovation initiatives.
H.E. was introduced to PSAU’s new visual identity and viewed a short film featuring the university’s latest accomplishments and strategic initiatives. He also toured the Student Innovation Exhibition, where he explored various student projects that reflected creativity, ambition, and technical ingenuity.
The visit included a field tour of the Research, Development, and Innovation Center, where H.E. was briefed on the center’s core programs and initiatives aimed at fostering technological and knowledge-based innovation in line with the Kingdom’s vision of building a sustainable knowledge economy.
To conclude the visit, H.E. the Minister received a commemorative gift from the University President—an original scientific innovation in the field of emerging technologies—presented in appreciation of his visit and continued support of PSAU’s path toward excellence and leadership.
Prof. Al-Tamimi expressed his gratitude for the Minister’s visit, describing it as a strong motivation for the university’s faculty and staff, and a reflection of the Ministry of Education’s commitment to elevating the quality of higher education and scientific research across the Kingdom.
