PSAU, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, honored a group of outstanding students who took part in serving the pilgrims during the 1446 AH Hajj season. The ceremony was held to recognize their humanitarian efforts and meaningful national contribution.
The event was sponsored by the University President, Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, who expressed his pride in the students’ active role, praising them for representing the university with distinction. He emphasized that their participation in this sacred and national duty reflects the values of volunteerism and belonging, showcasing the honorable image of Saudi youth in serving the pilgrims.
“Our students’ noble efforts during Hajj are a reflection of the university’s mission to prepare a conscious, responsible generation that contributes to community development and national service,” said Dr. Al-Tamimi. “Their actions embody the principles of cooperation and giving that our religion encourages.”
The Dean of Student Affairs also highlighted the university’s ongoing support for volunteer initiatives, noting that serving the pilgrims is one of the highest forms of volunteerism, helping shape students' character and instill values of responsibility and initiative.
The ceremony included a short video showcasing the students’ experiences in the holy sites, followed by the presentation of certificates of appreciation and commemorative plaques as a token of gratitude for their valuable efforts.
The university continues to encourage its students to engage in national initiatives and community programs that foster a strong sense of citizenship and promote a culture of volunteerism among youth.
