In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, President of the Saudi Arabian Electronic Sports Federation, the finals of the Saudi Universities FIFA 23 Electronic Championship for male and female students concluded on Friday, May 19, 2023. The event was organized by the Saudi Universities Sports Federation and hosted by Prince Sattam University.
The ceremony began with a speech by the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdullah Adas, welcoming His Royal Highness and the esteemed attendees. He expressed happiness in hosting this championship and commended the vigorous competition that took place over the past few days, extending his gratitude to the Saudi Universities Sports Federation for providing them with this hosting opportunity at Prince Sattam University.
Following that, Mr. Zamal Al-Othman, the tournament director, delivered a speech explaining that the championship was part of the 13th season of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation and was held in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Electronic Sports Federation. He congratulated the university on its hosting and celebrated the success of the championship.
Afterward, H.R.H. awarded the winning universities (male category). Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University secured first place, King Saud University came second, and King Khalid University claimed third place.
As for the winning universities (female category), Imam Mohammed bin Saud University secured first place, Prince Sattam University came second, and King Saud University achieved third place.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Khaled bin Saleh Al-Muzaini, President of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, presented two commemorative shields to the university and the Student Affairs Deanship.
