Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Hamid Rector of PSAU, honored the Dean of IT and Distance Learning, the Vice-Deanships, and the deanship’s directors for their and their colleague’s efforts “Technology Team Champions” during the pandemic. Their efforts have led to the success of the educational process.
The deanship has provided systems, programs, and technical support by providing a number of communication channels that have effectively contributed to creating the appropriate environment for all university employees, including students, faculty and staff, and its positive reflection on the success of the educational process at the university. The Deanship during the pandemic provided many training courses and workshops, in addition to preparing educational and instructional guides and activating e-learning units in all faculties of the university through a process of continuous communication and providing the necessary support to find the best educational and technical solutions that help overcome potential difficulties.
Dr. Khalid Alnowaiser Dean of IT and Distance Learning, delivered an electronic copy of the final report on distance education for the second and summer semester of 1441 AH, in addition to a copy of the ISO Business Continuity Certificate ISO22301: 2019, which PSAU was the first Saudi university and the second government agency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to obtain it in its updated version, as well as a copy of the ISO Information Security Certificate ISO27001: 2013 in cooperation with the Information Security Department.
For his part, Rector extended his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Alnowaiser, for their efforts made during the pandemic, and the ability to transform the university into full remote work in the most difficult circumstances, so that the Deanship of IT and Distance Learning became an remarkable interface for the University in every achievement.
