The College of Community in Al-Kharj organized a workshop titled: Total Quality Management and Quality Management System (ISO 9001/2015) on Wednesday 27/8/1440 under the patronage of Dr. Nasser Al Qahtani Vice-Rector for Development and Quality, which targeted the leaders of the private sector and the local community. The Dean of the Community College in Al-Kharj delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Vice Rector for Development and Quality, Dr. Fahd Al-Sahli, Dean of Development and Quality, the Vice-Deans and the workshop's sponsors and participants.
The Dean pointed to the importance of the workshop and its relation to achieving the vision of the Kingdom 2030 and stressed the importance of some important factors in achieving the overall quality, including ambition, inspiration, and clarity of the objectives of the institution for all its employees and effective communication and support and motivation and justice and firmness. It aims to create an educational and training environment for employees. He also reviewed the aspirations of the Community College in Al-Kharj during the coming period, especially the introduction of new programs that meet the needs of the labor market.
For his part, Dr. Nasser Saad Al Qahtani delivered a speech welcoming the attendees and thanks to the community college in Al-Kharj for its outstanding efforts to serve the community. The University of Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz is taking care of society and harnessing all its capabilities to promote it through its functions 3. He pointed out that social responsibility has become the top priority of the university leadership, which reflected itself in the strategic plan of the university in 2030. It has set a strategic goal to achieve excellence in the university's performance in this regard and to achieve the desired interaction with the community especially the private sector on which the university hopes to build Strategic partnerships for community service.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Abdul Wassa Abdul Ghani Al-Makhlafi, who presented the first part of the workshop on TQM and discussed the organization and its functions, the concept of quality and its development, the definition of TQM, the principles of TQM.
Eng. Saud Al-Shabanat then completed the workshop on its second theme. It presented a brief description of the International Organization for Standardization and the history of the ISO 9001 and the fifth edition of the year 2015 and the number of its items and then presented an explanation of the provisions of the system and the importance of its application to achieve excellence in the management of organizations.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani, Vice-Rector for Development and Quality, delivered the shields to the workshop participants, the certificates to the workshop participants as well as the certificates of appreciation to the organizers. In addition, The Dean of the Community College in Al-Kharj delivered a shield to His Excellency Dr. Nasser Bin Saad Al-Qahtani in recognition of his sponsorship of the workshop and his support for the social responsibility activities of the University through his responsibility for the tenth strategic objective of the Declaration on the Provision of Supportive Programs for Community Responsibility.
