Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hammed Rector of PSAU meet with the faculty members of PSAU, which is one of the meetings that Rector planning to do PSAU’s faculty members.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rector said all PSAU’s members must work as a team to achieve the university’s objectives. He added the university is found to serve the students and the educational process, besides, preparing a responsible generation that assists in the kingdom’s development. Moreover, Rector said that education is not information transferred to the student, but it aims to provide information and skills and behavior to prepare them for the labor market, with the importance of updating the content and information of the faculty member, and that the academic is required to do scientific research and provide roles in the service of the community. He explained that the courses and diplomas must contribute to solving the society’s problems. Then, Rector listened to the attendance inputs that discussed a number of issues such as training courses, scientific meetings, standing committees and institutional accreditation, along with many other cases.
Furthermore, Al Hammed clarified that the biggest challenge faces the university is creating a competitive sustainable academic environment. Also, he urged the faculty members to grow the academic values in the students, which leads to a positive impact on the university’s outputs. He added the academic departments are a key factor in forcing the university regulations.
