Under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU and Dr. Nasser Al Qahtani Vice-Rector of Development and Quality, Deanship of Students Affairs and Internal Audit Unit held a Seminar titled “Integrity and Profession Ethics”. It was held in conjunction with the International Day of Anti-Corruption at the theater of Applied Medical Sciences College.
The seminar hosted Dr. Nabil Sanan Consultant at the Internal Audit Unit Head of Accounting Department at College of Business Administration. It was presented by Dr. Omar Mohamad Dain Supervisor of the Students Cultural and Social Activities at Deanship of Students Affairs. It witnessed a huge attendance from faculty members, staff, and students.
Furthermore, Dr. Mohamad Dain opened the seminar by a speech welcoming the audience. He pointed out to the importance of such seminars that are related to the individual ethics, which resulted in a productive community. Then Dr. Sanan presented a scientific paper about integrity and profession ethics that should be infused by the students in their academic and practical life. The paper discussed a number of topics such as integrity definition, student academic and non-academic duties, violation types of integrity and a summary of the ethics that should be infused by the students toward Allah and his teachers, collogues, university and community. He concluded with a set of recommendation and proposals. Then, the audience were allowed to deliver their point of views.
Later on, Dr. Al Asimi delivered a speech thanking the organizers of the event. Also, he urged the university’s members to do their best in spreading integrity awareness among the academic and non-academic communities. He talked about some of the positive ethics that should be followed and some the ethic vacillations that should be avoided by the students.
At the end of the seminar, Dr. Mohamad Dain announced the initiative of the unit, which is a comprehensive proposal to create integrity club for the entire university. The club shall be supervised Deanship of Students Affairs in cooperation with Internal Audit Unit.
