Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU met with students of the preparatory year. The meeting was within the induction meeting that witnessed the presence of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Khudairi Vice-Rector of Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Mushari Osaimi Dean of Preparatory Year and a number of Deans and Vice-Deans.
The ceremony began by verses from the Holly Quran followed by a presentation included the objectives and message of the Deanship of Preparatory Year, besides the semester plan of the academic year 1436-1437H. Then, Rector delivered a speech addressing the students started by congratulating the students for the beginning of their academic life. He discussed many important topics such as the seriousness in learning, planning and acquiring skills and knowledge that make them able to compete in the labor market. Rector urged the students to be initiative to ask for what concerns them during their study by asking the dean, vice-dean or the academic guide. He pointed out that the students are the key element of the educational process. Moreover, Rector said the university sought effortlessly to provide the latest technologies the create attracting educational environment. Then, Rector answered the students’ inquiries, besides providing them with successful solutions to the obstacles that may face them.
At the end of his speech, Rector stressed on the importance of the students’ participation in the university’s activities, which help them to discover their talent, develop their abilities and enrich their knowledge and skills. He clarified the role of the university in achieving the community partnership through the effective participation in voluntary works that serve the community. Then, he wished them best luck in the new academic year.
Furthermore, Dr. Khudairi delivered a speech to the students urging them to be diligence and discipline in their attendance starting from the first day of study. Also, he urged them to visit the e-portal that was created to serve them in the registrations procedures and following up the courses schedule and the academic register.
