Accompanied by Dr. Abdullah Jumaa Vice-Rector, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU paid an inspection visit to the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
Al Asimi was received by Dr. Abdul Aziz Saqer Dean of Admission and Registration. At the beginning of the visit, Dr. Saqer delivered detailed explanation about the admission mechanism, which starts from receiving the student’s file from the express mail until his admission. Dr. Saqer assured that all the procedures are conducted electronically. Then, he briefed Rector about the organizational and administrational procedures of the deanship.
Moreover, in coordination with Deanship of IT and Distance Learning, two e-portals were launched one of them is for the second phase admission for the student who didn’t get lucky in the first admission phase. However, the second e-portal is for desires amendment, which receives the students’ major amendment applications according to the minimal admission percentage and to the available seats in the major.
Furthermore, Dr. Saqer clarified that the new e-portals policies were defined, in which it displays for the new applicant and amendment applicant only the majors that suit his GPA. He added the e-portal has an e-communication mean that enables the applicant to deliver his notes and problems regarding the e-portal, whereas he will not be obliged to visit the deanship headquarter to conclude the procedures.
Dr. Al Asimi said that represented by Deanship of Admission and Registration and the admission committees, the university is doing its best follow up all the registration procedures. Also, the university is very careful solve any obstacles to facilitate the admission procedures. He stressed on the importance of the hard work of Vice-Rectorate, Colleges and Deanships to provide an ideal educational environment at the beginning of the academic year.
At the end of his visit, Rector thanked Dr. Saqer and all the deanship members. He also urged them to enhance the provided services.
