Dr. Abdul Rahman Khudairi Vice-Rector of Educational and Academic Affairs declared that the University Council approved the opening of new health, scientific and humanities majors in a number of the university’s branches. The registration in the majors will begin in the first semester of the academic year 1436/1437H.
Dr. Khudairi clarified that the university is regularly studding the labor market requirements. Based on such studies, it opens departments and academic programs. Moreover, the new majors will be available to the students in the coming academic year. The new departments are as follows:
Male Students:
· Physics Department- College of Art and Science in Wadi Addawasir Province.
· Law Department- College of Sciences and Humanities in Aflaj Province.
· Physical Therapy Department- College of Sciences and Humanities in Aflaj Province.
Female Students:
· Physics Department- College of Art and Science in Wadi Addawasir Province.
· Mathematics Department- College of Sciences and Humanities in Hotat Bani Tamim Province.
Furthermore, Dr. Khudairi added that the university by the directions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and follow-up of Dr. Azzam Addekhail Minster of Education is keen to open new study programs that satisfy the labor market needs and contribute in the current kingdom prosperity. He also extended his thanks to Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU and members of University Council for their approval on the new majors that would have great role in serving these provinces.
