Before Friday’s dusk, the nation was shocked by the departure of the humanitarian king Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, “may Allah bless his soul”.
Days and years are fleeing, but the legacy of loyal leaders stays in history’s memory and provides guidance to the coming generations. We assume that King Abdullah is one of the loyal leaders. He is considered one of leaders who gained global respect.
The name King Abdullah is likened to tolerance and moderation because of his call that he launched from Mecca. He has many humanitarian stands toward the cases of the Arab and Islamic Nations. The kingdom in his reign became in lead of the donor countries that aided stricken and disaster areas, which was spring from his noble morals.
His name is also linked to the expansion of the two holy mosques, which is a general trend in the kingdom. Nevertheless, the biggest expansion to the two holy mosques was in King Abdullah’s era, which gained the kingdom the respect of the Islamic world.
In his reign, the kingdom witnessed a prosperity in higher education sector, whereas universities were horizontally extended to cover the entire kingdom. In addition, some of the universities was specialized in qualitative majors that compete the advanced countries. The king’s support to higher education and scientific research was a successful investment that makes the kingdom’s economy build on knowledge and sustainability.
Moreover, he eradicated the extreme thinking by spreading the constructive dialogue, which is led the kingdom to safety.
It is a huge sad event, but we only say there is no power but from Allah the Almighty. Furthermore, I extend my sincere condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, HRH Prince Meqrin bin Abdul Aziz Crown Prince and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz the Crown Prince Deputy.
