Accompanied by Dr. Abdullah Jumaa Vice-Rector and Dr. Abdul Rahman Khudairi Vice-Rector of the Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of SAU paid an inspection visit to the university’s colleges Wadi Addawasir and Slayel. The visit aims to check on college’s workflow and the university’s projects in the two provinces. It also aims to hear the students and faculty members’ inquiries and needs. They were received by Dr. Mubarak Hammad Vice-Rector of Branches and Dr. Abdullah Faleh Dean of Sciences and Humanities in Slayel.
The visit included all the university’s colleges in Wadi Addawasir and Slayel, which was began by visiting the female urgent building in Slayel building project of the female College of Sciences and Humanities and male building. Then, they took a tour in the facilities of Sciences and Humanities College. They have listened to a brief from the college dean about the college developments, study plans and the recent maintenance works. Further, Rector have listened to hear the students and faculty members’ suggestions. At the end of his visit, Dr. Al Asimi stressed on the importance the faculty member role in the educational process, which requires him to be an example in dedication. He added that the university is promoting the remarkable faculty member.
Afterward, Rector and his companions went to Wadi Addawasir Province. They began their visit by holding a meeting in the Vice Rectorate Headquarter with Dr. Hammed, Deans of the colleges and their vices. The meeting discussed many topics such as deans’ visitations to the under construction projects, full e-transformation and discussing some of the obstacles that face the students. In addition, they discussed technical issues and its benefits Wadi Addawasir colleges. They also discussed staff development methods and discussing a number of notes delivered by colleges’ deans.
Furthermore, Rector took a field tour in the Sciences and Humanities College. On the next day, he paid a visit to the colleges of education and engineering. During this visit, Rector listened to a detailed brief about the colleges’ developments and the executed activities for the students. He also listened and answered faculty inquiries. Then, Rector visited the building project of Engineering College, Applied Medical College and the urgent buildings, besides the University City project. He discussed with project managers the importance of delivery time commitment. At the end of his tour, Dr. Al Asimi urged Vices-Rector and Colleges’ Deans to satisfy the needs of the college each according to his specialty.
It is worth mentioning, Rector was accompanied in this tour each of Dean Faculty and Staff Affairs, Dean of IT and Distance Learning, Supervisor of Public Relations and Media, Director of Financial Affairs and Deputy Supervisor of the projects and maintenance, along with a number of the university’s officials.
