Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of SAU received in his office in the University City a student delegation from College of Sciences and Humanities in Aflaj. Those students were having a training during summer in Japan. The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Abdul Aziz Hammed Vice-Rector of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammad Kubairi Dean of Sciences and Humanities in Aflaj and Dr. Rashid Arrshoud Supervisor of female college of Computer Science and Engineering.
During the meeting, a presentation was delivered about the students’ journeys since its beginning until they get back. Dr. Kubairi said that the students have received an intensive training in Waseda University. The training included two parts one of which is on computer applications and business administration, while the second part is field visits to specialized companies and institutions. The program was supervised by professors from the two universities, besides a team represents the specialist companies. At the end of the program, the trainees have prepared full reports about their achievements during the training.
Dr. Rshoud said that this program is an outcome of the agreement between SAU and Waseda University, which is included students training, and students, professors and research exchange. Moreover, SAU consider such cooperation a strategic choice that serves the development of its methods, along to benefit from the experience of Waseda University in correcting many practices. All of which would be reflected on the level of educational attainment and skills of the university students.
At the end of the meeting, Rector thanked the students for their efforts and he urged them to transfer the expertise that they acquired from this journey to their colleagues. He also, praised the efforts officials of this programs that carries many important goals to develop the students skills.
