Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of SAU sponsored on last Monday evening the launching of new faculty preparing program, which is organized and supervised by Vice Rectorate of Development and Quality. The program would last for three days.
The program first day began by an open meeting included Rector, Vices-Rector, Deans and new faculties. The meeting discussed a number of prominent cases. It also clarified SAU’s regulations and reviewed general customs and traditions of the kingdom. The meeting ended by answering faculty members’ inquiries.
Further, the program will present in its second day a number of workshop that discuss the philosophy of academic education and characteristics of the students and faculty members. On the third day, a workshop about using Blackboard in education would be delivered.
Deanship of Development and Quality has prepared a briefcase for faculties that contains a number of publications such as program schedule, academic calendar, and faculty guide. It also contains Deanship of Development and Quality guide, which is titled Best Educational Practices for university professor, besides SAU’s external references guide and a number of brochures.
Furthermore, the Deanship of Faculty Affairs has distributed a brochure that clarifies what SAU has provided for faculties during the program like temporal residency, medical tests, banking procedures and other urgent services.
