Under the international joint cooperation agreement between SAU and Quebec University in Canada, 15 students of Engineering College in SAU began an intensive training program at Quebec University. The program would take two months during the current summer semester to the academic year 1434/1435H. It would include two training parts, one of which is field training on engineering majors’ applications in Engineering College Labs and number of related industrial plants.
The program is supervised by Professors from both universities, besides a representative team from industrial plans. This training focuses on the applicable field of Electrical, Civil, Mechanic and Computer Engineering.
However, the other part of training is focusing on strengthen English skills through an evening intensive English course. This part aims to prepare engineering students according to the best international standards.
Further, the supervising team of SAU, which is constituted from Prof. Saleh Al Kahtani and Dr. Khalid Abo-Hasel, has visited Quebec University and met with its trainers. The team also has checked laboratories readiness and all other training related arrangements such as housing and transportations. Moreover, students shall prepare a full report about their achievements during the training.
It is worth mentioning, this program is an outcome of cooperation agreement between the two universities, which was included on many aspects like students training, and exchanging visiting professors and joint scientific researches between faculty members.
