The Institute of Prince Abdul Rahman bin Nasser for research and advisory services, represented by the Chair of Shaikh Daej for Local Community Development, presented a lecture titled “Glimpse on Yamama History” delivered by Dr. Abdullah Askar Member of Shura Council and lecturer at King Saud University. The lecture was held on last Wednesday in Hedaia Building for women and in Sciences and Humanities College Theater for men.
Dr. Askar talked during the lecture about the importance of Yamama region, which was a hub that connect Gulf countries with Persia, Yemen and Levant countries. It also was a place and a passage for trading, and held the first trading civilization when Thumama bin Athal stop sending wheat to Mecca.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of SAU handed a memento to the presenter Dr. Abdullah Askar.
