Under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of SAU, Deanship of Students Affairs held on Monday evening, 13/7/1435H the closing ceremony of students activities. The ceremony was launched in the presence of Vices-Rector, a number of deans and the university’s officials.
The ceremony began by Verses from the Holly Quran, followed by a speech of Dr. Misfer Kubairi Dean of Student Affairs. He welcomed Rector and guests of the event. In addition, he viewed the Deanship achievements during the past academic year. Then, Dr. Kubairi concluded his speech by thanking all who have contributed in the success of this event and the other activities of the deanship.
Further, the audience watched a documentary about Deanship of Students Affairs regarding its executed activities, participations, achievements and its services to the students.
Furthermore, a group of elite chanters singed an operetta titled “Home of Safety”. Then, students delivered a play titled “Macaroni Flu” that discusses a situation of a student and obstacles that he faces, but comedy stile.
Moreover, Rector delivered a speech thanking Deanship of Students Affairs for its achievements and activities provided to the students. In addition, he spoke about the importance of student activities and its role in building the student character. Rector also mentioned the efforts of SAU in finding suitable activities to the students, in order contain and polish their powers.
Additionally, Rector honored the winner students of the fifth Scientific Conference and their supervisors, along with honoring winners of Holly Quran competition and the artistic competition held by Deanship of Students Affairs, besides the remarkable students in students’ activities.
At the end of the ceremony, Rector handed a memento provided by Deanship of Students Affairs to Saleh Al Kahtani Vice-Rector of Development and Quality and to Fahad Tufail Chairman of Shuala Club for their contributions in the success of the past deanship activities.
