On Monday 2/12/1431 Al Kharj University Council held its 1431/1432 first academic session at the University headquarter - meeting hall. The session was presided by the University Rector professor Abdul Rahman Al Asimi and attended by General Secretary of the Higher Education Council Dr. AbdulAiz Assaleh. The Rector urged the university council members to double their efforts to bring the university to the fore, and to improve its academic and management performance. He also encouraged them to make use of the experience of other universities and to exert persistent efforts to improve the university programs and to come up with constructive ideas to achieve aspired goals.
The University Council discussed the items listed in the meeting agenda such as: recommendations and minutes of meetings held by Deanships of Saudi Universities. Adoption of some recommendations was also discussed. The Council approved the institution of Library Affairs Deanship and entrusted it with the duty of administrating both library-related affairs and the University source information data base. Transfer of services, appointments, and recommendations concluded by the training and scholarship committees were also discussed. The council approved: the exchange and delegation of some staff members, and the participation of some members in the college councils' activities. In his concluding remarks, the Rector asserted a need for an immediate execution of all items approved in the session.

- Tabook University electricity station contract of SR. 132,389,828
- Management of Al Baha University location contract of SR 66,162.197
- Teiba University general works contract of SR. 25,914,611
