Under the patronage of its President, PSAU has launched the “Qafilat Ataa 1” initiative, coinciding with Saudi and International Volunteer Day. This endeavor aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030, seeking to cultivate a volunteer culture, increase the volunteer count to one million, and achieve PSAU’s strategic goals of fostering social responsibility and driving community growth.
The campaign comprises 50 volunteer initiatives that cater to various segments of society. Devised by students, faculty, and staff from different university departments, these initiatives offer over 200 volunteer opportunities, empowering the PSAU community to support and uplift the broader society actively.
Its main features include a launch ceremony, patronized by the University President, showcasing the initiatives through an accompanying exhibition. Additionally, an e-awareness campaign highlights these volunteer programs and documents their activities, while the field campaign rolls out 50 volunteer initiatives proposed by participating university entities.
With an expected participation of 500 volunteers, 200 volunteer opportunities, and 50 community-based initiatives spanning 17 university partners, “Qafilat Ataa 1” aims to foster a lasting, positive societal impact. It underscores PSAU’s dedication to meeting Vision 2030’s targets and promoting volunteerism as a pillar of the national and community identity.
