In the presence of the university president, Prof. Abdulrahman Altalhi, the 23rd meeting of the Deans Committee for Student Affairs in Saudi Universities commenced. The university president welcomed the esteemed guests and affirmed that the deanships of student affairs provide programs and activities that serve students, refine their skills, and enhance their knowledge in various fields.
Following this, the committee meeting was inaugurated with a welcoming speech by the university's vice president for educational affairs, Prof. Mashaari Al-Osaimi, emphasizing the importance of the role of the deanships of student affairs in preparing and equipping students with qualitative skills and instilling positive values in them.
Dr. Issa Al-Dosari, the secretary of the Deans Committee for Student Affairs and the dean of student affairs at the university, mentioned that the committee, through continuous meetings, seeks to achieve common goals and elevate the professional and organizational performance of the deanships of student affairs in the Kingdom's universities in terms of services and student activities. This is achieved through the exchange of experiences, reviewing successful practices, and emphasizing the importance of integration between the deanships.
The committee then reviewed its agenda by discussing various topics, including the presentation from Al-Majmaah University regarding the "Consultation" initiative, and the presentation from King Saud University regarding the "Enhancing the Culture of Volunteer Work" initiative. Additionally, they discussed the presentation from King Abdulaziz University regarding the International Student Trip to Japan in 2023. The committee also discussed student trips planned for the upcoming summer, proposed countries to visit, and the initiatives and programs of the Ministry of Culture. The meeting concluded with several recommendations that, God willing, will contribute to raising the level of education and supporting the educational process in Saudi universities.
Yesterday, the committee began its work with a meeting of the team preparing the executive regulations for the regulations of student funds in Saudi universities, discussing and amending some of the provisions and regulations
