Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Hamid Rector of PSAU, on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education and President of the University Council, chaired the seventh virtual session of the University Council for the academic year (1441AH). The meeting was held in the presence of the Secretary General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saleh, Vice-Rectors, and deans of colleges support deanships and institutes.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rector praised the historic decisions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, regarding combating the Coronavirus, which greatly contributed in preserving the safety of all members of the Saudi society and everyone residing on the land of the Kingdom, and these decisions were also characterized by a character. humanitarian, as it also included treatment for violators of the residency.
Secretary of the Council, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies Abdulrahman Al-Khudairi pointed out that a group of topics were discussed in the meeting, including: the proposed amendments to the disciplinary regulations for male and female students, determining the number of graduate students who will be accepted into graduate studies programs for the academic year 1442 H, discussing the mechanism for evaluating quarterly work, and the final exams for the second semester of the academic year 1441 H. And the mechanism for calculating rates, excuses and disqualifications for the second semester of the academic year 1441 H, in which decisions were taken that take into account the exceptional circumstances due to the Coronavirus, as well as discussing the numbers of students expected to graduate from the university's colleges (bachelor's and associate) by the end of the second and summer semester of the academic year 1441 H, In addition to a number of other issues, on which the Council took appropriate decisions.
