Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hammed Rector of PSAU denoted the importance of the achievements of the Postgraduate Studies and Library Affairs Deanships.
During the academic year 1439/1440H. He pointed out to the importance of the study programs development and creating new majors that satisfy the needs of the labor market, all of which come on an agreement with kingdom’s vision 2030.
Rectors statement came during receipt of the annual reports of the Postgraduate Studies and Library Affairs Deanships that witnessed the presence of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Khudairi Vice-Rector Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Aziz Saidan Dean of Postgraduate and Supervisor of Library Affairs and a delegation from both deanships.
Dr. Saidan handed the report of the Deanship of Graduate Studies, which includes the graduate programs in the university in the colleges of education in Al-Kharj, as well as programs developed at the University as a Master of Mathematics, Master of Herbal Therapy and Herbal Evaluation, Master of Physical Therapy, and Programs under study as Master of Transitional Services, Master of Arabic Language as a Language, Literature, Criticism and Master of Education Origins.
During his review of the postgraduate study, Dr. Saidan explained the statistics of postgraduate students at the university for the year 1438 AH / 1439H, which included the statistics of students enrolled in master programs of 124 students. The report also discussed the plans approved by the Deanship of Graduate Studies until the end of the academic year 1438 AH / 1439 AH, and the preparation of the composition of the discussion committees, the achievements of the Deanship and the difficulties faced by the proposals to overcome these difficulties.
In the same context, Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Saidan presented the report of the Deanship of Library Affairs, which dealt with the most important achievements adopted by the Deanship of Library Affairs in the academic year 1438 AH / 1439H and the statistics of books in the Central Library and sub-libraries and photocopies reports on field visits to libraries, In which the Deanship participated as the Cairo International Book Fair and the Sharjah International Book Fair, the King Khalid University in Abha. The report dealt with the training courses carried out by the Deanship of Library Affairs to train information sources, including the Saudi Digital Library, the technical devices for loan and scanners of books.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saeedan thanked Rector and Dr. Al Khudairi for their continued support and efforts in upgrading all aspects of postgraduate studies and library affairs.
