The Deanship of Scientific Research launched its plan of training programs and workshops for the second semester 1438 AH / 1439H, as part of the Deanship's endeavor to produce innovative creative research through providing the best means to support scientific research, encouraging scientific publishing and creating a stimulating research environment and providing the researcher with practical and technical knowledge and skills to keep abreast of continuous development and sequencing. To the needs of scientific research, and to raise the quality of the researcher's production, which contributes to the upgrading of the university between universities at the local and international levels.
The first workshop started with a workshop on the ethics of scientific research presented by Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Sulaiman and Dr. Tarek Al Khatib, which aims to provide participants with knowledge, skills and positive attitudes towards the ethics of scientific research in order to improve on one hand.
Sulaiman and Al-Khatib discussed the ethical aspects of the workshop and its relation to the components of practical research ranging from the problem of research and selection of the subject to publication and arbitration, and emphasis on ethical values in scientific research, including credibility, experience, safety, confidence and confidentiality of information, The ethical principles in the research, including the secretariat, review, and ethical standards, and on the other hand the workshop deviated immorality in scientific research, thefts and plagiarism, plagiarism, which different types between intellectual theft and intellectual laziness, and evasion of the Evangelist Yeh educational, self-plagiarism, technical plagiarism and the consequences of plagiarism, and padding in the quotation.
At the conclusion of the workshop, they stressed that the responsibility of taking into consideration the ethical aspects in scientific research rests with the researcher, the scientific research institutions, the editors of the scientific journals, the funding agencies, the organizations, the assistant researchers, the research assistants and the members of the research team.
