The Grand Mosque
The architecture of the "Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University" Mosque blends the art of Islamic civilization with the beauty of modern architecture. The Prince Saud Al-Kabeer Mosque is located within the university campus, where the five daily prayers and Friday prayers are held. It serves the housing area for faculty members and students. The mosque includes a men’s prayer hall with an area of 380 m², accommodating 324 worshippers, and a separate women’s prayer hall with a dedicated entrance, covering an area of 100 m², with a capacity for 85 worshippers.
Prince Saud Al-Kabeer Mosque is a special place for performing obligatory prayers, various acts of worship, and congregation prayers.
It also hosts Friday prayers, additional prayers such as Eid prayers where Muslims gather and listen to the imam, as well as prayers for eclipses, rain, and other communal prayers.
The mosque holds religious seminars and lectures, Quran learning and memorization sessions, and serves as a place for the local community to perform their daily and Friday prayers. It is managed by the university administration, and there are over 30 prayer halls spread across the university’s colleges and centers.
