Today, Monday, the Deanship of Student Affairs at PSAU in Al-Kharj launched four new initiatives to support and enhance the quality of student life. This comes as part of its ongoing efforts to provide a supportive and motivating environment for student growth and academic success. The initiatives include the 'Ask Me' initiative, the 'Virtual Psychological and Social Clinic' initiative, the 'Guidance Hour' initiative, and the 'Mentor Friend' initiative.
The 'Ask Me' initiative aims to provide support and answer students' inquiries in various fields through a specialized team of senior-level students from colleges to guide newcomers and help them adapt to university life, thereby reducing their dropout rates or setbacks.
The 'Virtual Psychological and Social Clinic' initiative offers psychological counseling and social guidance services to students electronically through virtual sessions conducted by academic specialists in this field.
The 'Guidance Hour' initiative provides academic guidance and counseling to students by counselors in colleges and volunteer faculty members, helping them make their own decisions through counseling sessions, thereby contributing to the university's mission of providing excellent education in an innovative and creative environment.
The 'Mentor Friend' initiative focuses on improving the performance of students with low academic performance by connecting them with their academically outstanding peers to develop their academic performance.
The Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Isa bin Khalaf Al-Dosari, mentioned that these initiatives come as part of the university's keenness to support students and provide all means of comfort for them to enhance their well-being and academic success. He added that these initiatives aim to enhance communication between the university and students and provide the necessary support for them in various fields, which will contribute to improving the student's performance academically and socially.
