On 10:00 am, Wednesday 05/04/1443, the Scientific Council of PSAU held its fourth session for the academic year 1443 AH. The session was Headed by Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani, Acting Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research - Chairman of the Scientific Council.
The Council proceeded to discuss the topics on its agenda, and the Scientific Council issued several decisions regarding:
- Recommending approval of the appointment of a number of faculty members at the rank of assistant professor at the university.
- Recommending not to approve the confirmation of an academic rank (Assistant Professor) for a faculty member for appointment to a college outside the university.
- Approval of the formation of committees of arbitrators for a number of faculty members applying for promotion to the ranks of professor and associate professor.
- Approval of the resignation of a faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine.
- Approval of the promotion of two faculty members to the rank of professor.
- Disapprove the promotion of a faculty member to the rank of professor.
- Approval of granting a sabbatical leave to a faculty member at the university.
- Approval of postponing a training course for a faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine.
- Approval of renewing the services of a part-time associate professor for a period of one year.
- Disapprove to amend the rules for calculating the Excellence Allowance Award for Saudis for reference articles.
At the end of the session, Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani congratulated the appointed and promoted faculty members and wished them and everyone more success.
