The Scientific Council of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj held its first session for the academic year 1441 H at 10:00 am on Wednesday, 19/9/1441 H. the session was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Khudairi, Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research - President Scientific Council.
Dr. Al Khudairi thanked all the outgoing members of the Council at the previous session of the Council, as well as all members of the Scientific Council, and the Standing Committees of the Scientific Council for their time and effort in enriching the discussions and decisions taken over the past years. He also welcomed the new members of the Scientific Council of the University and wished them success and urged them to exert more efforts to continue the work of the Council with the same efforts. I addition, Dr. Al Khudairi conveyed a letter of thanks from His Excellency the Rector to the fraternity members of the Council and its committees for their study and presentation of topics and discussions characterized by transparency and confidentiality and the establishment of executive and procedural controls, which puts the University among the most developed universities in the Kingdom.
The Scientific Council has made several recommendations on:
Appointing a number of faculty members of scholarships who have obtained a doctorate degree.
Promotion of a number of faculty members to the rank of Associate Professor.
Disapprove the promotion of (2) faculty members at the university.
Approve the formation of committees to examine the scientific production of applicants for promotions.
Approve the annual report of the Journal of Educational Sciences, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University for the year 1439/1440.
Approve the establishment of a branch of the Saudi Society of Community Colleges
Approve the payment of a remuneration allowance for a number of faculty members and persons of equivalent status.
Set deadlines for receiving transactions from faculties and departments of the university for presentation to the Scientific Council before the end of the second semester of the current academic year 1441.
