In the presence of Dr. Abdullah Safran Governor of Slayel Province, Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hammed Rector of PSAU inaugurated the College of Sciences and Humanities (Females) in the province. Also, the inauguration witnessed the presence of Dr. Abdullah Jumma Vice-Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Khudairi Vice-Rector of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdullah Saqer Vice-Rector of Branches and a number of the university’s leadership.
A detailed explanation about the college was given by the university's Vice-Rector, Dr. Jumaa. Then, Rector and the accompanying delegation toured the college and checked its academic, educational and administrative facilities as well as supporting facilities. The cost of the building exceeded 79 million riyals. The college includes 11 laboratories, 163 administrative rooms, and 53 rooms. A cafeteria, a cafeteria and a theater equipped with high-quality technology that can accommodate 400 students and a library furnished with the latest modern technology to meet the research and study needs of students and an integrated medical clinic.
Furthermore, in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Mubarak Governor of Wadi Addawasir and a number of the university’s leadership, Rector inaugurated the College of Sciences and Arts in the Province of Wadi Addawasir. Rector the unveiled memorial plaque of the College. It is worth mentioning, that the total cost of the building is more than 156 million riyals. The building consists of three floors. It includes classrooms, administrative offices, English language laboratories, computer, audiovisual studio, cafeteria, faculty offices, a modern library equipped with the highest technical specifications and a theater for more than 500 students. The building also includes a general site for the College, which cost 34 million riyals, including misleading parking lots, roads, a sewage treatment plant and a desalination plant.
Prof. Al Hammed noted the attention paid by the wise leadership to the institutions of higher education in the Kingdom, including Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University to imitate the best international educational models of quality and excellence, stressing that this support is in the interest of the sons and daughters of the homeland. The University of Prince Sattam in the provinces of Wadi Al-Dawaser and Al-Sallayil in providing the ideal educational environment that motivates the students and students of the university and its employees for more creativity and excellence. He also praised the distinguished efforts exerted by the University Agency and the project management, maintenance and information technology in the completion of these projects and their timely preparation, stressing that what is witnessed by the colleges of Wadi Al-Dawasser and Al-Silil is a qualitative leap and a remarkable progress and a continuous endeavor towards achievement for the benefit of the students of the two Governorates of all the projects being implemented. Rector added that we are working hard to complete the rest of the buildings of the university colleges as soon as possible and move them successively within a specific time plan.
