Under the patronage of Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hammed Rector of PSAU, the university represented by Deanship of students Affairs held the 88th National Day celebration on 15/1/1440H. the celebration witnessed the presence of Vice-Rector, Deans and a huge number of students. it was held on the main theater at the university city in Al Kharj.
The ceremony began with verses from the holy Quran by student Hood Omari. Then, Dr. Thlab Shakra Dean of Student Affairs delivered a speech welcoming Rector and the attendance. He said the memory of this day holds respect for the makers of this memory headed by the Founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, besides the honorable men, who helped him in uniting the kingdom. Dr. Shakra added, this celebration is a renewal and affirmation of the commitment to the scope of responsibility, the assumption of the secretariat and the hard work to participate in the comprehensive development led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince.
After that, the audience saw a documentary film presented by the students of the student clubs at the university, which tells the aspiration of the youth of the country between science and knowledge and between love and loyalty to this benevolent country.
Then a group of university students presented an operetta entitled "The Homeland of Glory".
The ceremony ended with a speech delivered by Prof. Al-Hammed, in which he stated that the National Day is an extraordinary day for the Kingdom and the life of every Saudi man on which he is proud of the achievement of unity, affinity, and rapprochement. In addition, he delivered the congratulations of the employees of PSAU on the march leader King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and his Crown Prince and the Saudi people. This day renews our tenderness and strengthens our loyalty and holds us responsible for completing the march of our forefathers.
