The University of South Florida celebrated the launch of the Association of Saudi Graduates in Saudi Arabia as the first university association in the Middle East. Dr. Hussein Al-Rubaie, a member of the faculty of Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University, was elected as President of the Association.
The University, represented by the Graduate Management and International Student Management Department, expressed its pride in this partnership, which will enhance communication between it and its graduates from the Kingdom over the coming years. It also expressed its gratitude to all Saudi graduates hoping that this partnership will contribute to the name of the university in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region.
In addition, Dr. Hussein Al-Rubaie, a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and a faculty member at Prince Sattam University, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Department of Graduate Studies at the University of South Florida and to Dr. Brindley, Vice-Rector for International Affairs for adopting the idea of creating an association of Saudi graduates. He added the opening of the Association is a step forward to strengthen the relations between the university and its graduates from the Saudi students so that the relationship between them continues and does not end once they graduate from university. It is also an excellent opportunity to consolidate the relationship between university graduates and build new networks of acquaintances that enable them to benefit and exchange experiences between each other in various fields, whether research or practical.
