Under the patronage of HRH Prince of Riyadh Prince Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, and the presence of Dr. Ahmad Issa Minister of Education, Dr. Ali Ghafis Minister of Labor and Social Development and a number of officials and businessmen, PSAU signed a strategic partnership between it and the King Salman Center for Disability Research. Institute of Research and Consulting Services represented the university in the signage. Moreover, HRH Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz signed the agreement on behalf of the center and Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hammed signed on behalf of PSAU.
The aim of the agreement is to cooperate to develop expertise and competencies in the field of disability research and to enhance knowledge in the fields of prevention and care by developing disability-related research tools and methods, coordination and cooperation in research and studies in disability fields, Training courses and workshops on issues related to disability, highlighting the size of the problem of disability, classifying its cases at different levels of education, raising the educational level of educational programs, achieving its efficiency and suitability for persons with disabilities, and expanding and developing Areas of university education for persons with disabilities.
Furthermore, Dr. Mubarak Al Harbi, Dean of the Research and Advisory Services Institute, said that working between the university and the King Salman Center for Disability Research to achieve the terms of this strategic partnership will benefit both sides and society.
