PSAU’s students achieved a huge achievement by winning the second in the Saudi Digital Machines Hackathon at the energy field. The competition was organized by Ministry of Communication and IT in cooperation with Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Munsha’at”. It witnessed the participation of more than 300 participants during the period 12-24/3/2018 at King Abdullah Center for National Dialogue at Riyadh.
The Hackathon aims to develop smart solutions depending on artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT), in order to solve the country’s problems in the fields of energy, water, and health. PSAU’s students' project focuses on developing a system that increases the efficiency of the power plant fans depending on (IoT) and artificial intelligence, whereas the system is able to predict energy consumption according to the previous consumption.
At the end of the Hackathon, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology held a ceremony honoring the winners where the students of Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University were honored In second place are "Badi Ammar Dukhan, Khalid Abdullah Al Harthy, Mohammed Ahmed Jamal, Majed Abdullah Al Khalifa, Khalid Safar Al Harthy.". The ceremony was in the presence of Eng. Abdullah Al Sawah of Communications and Information Technology and attended by the partners and supporters on Saturday 24/3/2018 at the King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue in Riyadh, a ceremony honoring the winners where the students of Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University were honored In second place are "Badi Ammar Dukhan, Khalid Abdullah Al Harthy, Mohammed Ahmed Jamal, Majed Abdullah Al Khalifa, Khalid Safar Al Harthy."
