Under the patronage of Rector and the support and support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Awareness Committee for Drug Control held an educational meeting on drug damage on Sunday 16/02/1439 at the College of Engineering College in Al-Kharj at 10 am. It was held within the framework of awareness and educational programs. Moreover, the forum was organized in cooperation with the Department of Preventive Affairs of the General Directorate of Drug Control in Al-Kharj.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Khudairi Vice Rector of Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Yousuf Abdul Ghani Director of Psychosocial and Social Health at the Ministry of Health, a group of deans, Vice-Deans, faculty members, activities supervisors, and a large number of students, in addition to students from Prince Salman bin Mohammed Baldlem.
The ceremony was started by a number of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech delivered by student Ibrahim al-Malki from the College of Science and Human Studies in Al-Kharj. Then, a speech delivered by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thlab Shakra, explaining the programs and awareness-raising activities about drug damage and methods of prevention and treatment, which will be established by the Committee during this year, as well as among those who have been coordinated with them to prepare and prepare programs and events from inside and outside the university. Dr. Mohammed Al-Qaisi, member of the Committee on Drug Awareness at the University, explained briefly the concentration of the types of drugs distributed worldwide, and the species prevalent in the Kingdom. He also mentioned the tragic proportions and statistics of addicts around the world. Among the great efforts being made by the Kingdom to combat this serious scourge and to eliminate the promoters and smugglers, in particular the General Directorate for Drug Control and the National Drug Control Commission (Nebras). After that, the Rector gave a speech in which he praised the great efforts exerted by the awareness committee in the university in preparing programs and events to raise awareness about the drug scourge and its dangerous impact on human beings. He also pointed out that the university is one of the parties that vowed to fight drugs in all ways and methods available to it. The wide range of drugs, both inside and outside the Kingdom, adversely affects the multiple national gains and the social fabric of the country, which calls upon us all to unite and cooperate to address this scourge at all levels and levels. At the end of the ceremony, the awareness committee presented a group of commemorative shields to the participants in the forum: the Department of Drug Control in Al-Kharj, the General Administration of Mental and Social Health at the Ministry of Health, and the secondary school of Prince Salman bin Mohammed Baldlem. The prize was then awarded to a number of prizes related to the contest, which were presented at the forum's website. The attendees then went to the opening of the mobile awareness exhibition organized by the awareness committee of the university in cooperation with the Department of Drug Control in Al-Kharj.
