A number of students from the Engineering Colleges in Al-Kharj and Wadi Al-Dawasir and the College of Computer Engineering and Science at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University began a summer training program at the University of California, Irvine. The training was for two months after completing the preparatory program.
Dr. Saleh Bin Ali Al Qahtani, Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Kharj, said that this international program with the University of California, Irvine, as one of the distinguished universities in the field of technology and innovation is one of the international cooperation programs within the University. A practical training program in the laboratories of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science where students are divided participants on specialized engineering projects in the field of a number of advanced techniques to enable students trainees to develop their professional and scientific skills. It is also mentioned that the nomination mechanism is carried out through precise criteria including academic achievement, cumulative average, and English language level. This will facilitate the student's ability to benefit greatly from the available resources available to the students during the training period. The program will conclude with a comprehensive test for students to know their proficiency in specialized skills. The Faculty of Engineering in Al-Kharj, like other faculties of Prince Sattam University, seeks to enhance the knowledge of graduate students in the various skills required by the local and international labor market and to intensify the applied doses needed Engineer in the field of specialization.
