Under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Simi Rector of PSAU, College of Engineering held the second summer training workshop in discovering summer training opportunities for its students. The workshop was held in the presence of vices-rector and a number of college deans and representatives of privet and governmental sectors.
The workshop started by a documentary about the college followed by a sample of the students’ experiments in summer training. In addition, it reviewed Almarai experiment in training the students in the last summer. Then, Dr. Mohammed Al Kahtani Dean of Engineering College delivered a speech expressing his appreciation to Rector and his vices for the continuous support to the college. He delivered a presentation showing the achievements of the least summer training, which included on five training opportunities in Irvine University and providing more than 200 training opportunities in the privet and governmental sectors.
Furthermore, Rector expressed his delight regarding the college achievements. Besides, he extended his thanks to success partners in summer training program. In addition, he stressed the importance of sustaining such programs that prepare the students for the labor market.
At the end of the workshop, Rector honored success partners and the remarkable students. Later on, he visited the exhibition that held on the sideline of the workshop, besides visiting the college’s labs in the new college building.
Moreover, a discussion session was held between the participants and the Summer Training Committee headed by Dr. Farih Anzi. The participants agreed on harmonizing training programs with the work environment in the privet and governmental sectors.
