Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Asimi Rector of PSAU praised the efforts of the Committee of Faculty Members Evaluation Project. The university has marched through planed steps toward its vision achievement “Excellent University in Education and Community Partnership”. In order to achieve its vision, it made it a priority take care of faculty members. Many studies have considered the faculty member with all his main and supportive roles is the university, whereas his roles are the same roles of the university.
However, the fields of faculty care programs are assorted and the evaluation project is one of them. The evaluation is the lead of the educational process and a key director of education development. The project depends on many concepts such as the investment in the current evaluation tools and practices to reduce the efforts and time. The unifying and variety of the evaluation methods and tools to assure the evaluation subjectivity. In addition. The application of the latest evaluation strategies and tools that depend on the performance. Also, the project depends on the concept of trenchancy and clarity in the procedures and in the discussion of its results. Moreover, the university is wishing from this project the best investment in the human resource, which represented in the faculty member. The investment will be in the faculty’s excellence fields to serve the university message and objects. It will be achieved through enhancing his performance; creating profession development plans that indicate the true need based on the performance level. At the end of the evaluation, fair and accurate decisions could be made.
The aforementioned was during Rector meeting with the College of Education leaders Dr. Abdul Salam Naji Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul Rahman Rafdi Vice-Dean of the Administration and Financial Affairs, Dr. Nasser Huthaili Vice-Dean of the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Dr. Fahad Askar Director of the Educational College. The meeting resulted in a fruitful discussion about the evaluation project.
Furthermore, Dr. Al Asimi praised also the training packages that presented by Dr. Naji. They include a special training for the faculty members in all the university’s colleges. The packages were prepared by Dr. Naji, Dr. Ayman Hadi, Dr. Najla Mustfa and Dr. Eiman Abo Saleem, along with Dr. Aziza Arrwais.
Moreover, Dr. Naji handed Rector the annual report. It contained the college’s most prominent events and activities. In addition, he handed the college’s guide that included the following: The College Board Guide, Evaluation Operation Guide, Regulatory Guide, Field Training Guide, Academic Guidance Guide, Postgraduate Studies Guide, and Collaborators Hiring Guide, besides The Unity of Knowledge Management Guide and Incentives Committee Guide.
At the end of the meeting, the attendance took souvenir photos and Rector thanked the college’s delegation for their achievements that worth parsing and honoring.
