Prof. Abdulaziz Al Hammed Rector of PSAU inaugurated the building of College of Sciences and Humanities at Al Kharj. The inauguration witnessed the presence of Mr. Musaed Madi Al Kharj Governor, Dr. Abdullah Jumaa Vice Rector, Dr. Abdul Rahman Khudairi Vice Rector of Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Nasser Al Qahtani Vice Rector of Quality and Development, Abdullah Saqer Vice Rector of Branches and a number of the university’s officials.
Rector began the inauguration ceremony by cutting the inauguration ribbon. Then, Dr. Jumaa delivered a brief about the building, which its total cost reached 71259136 SAR. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Hammed unveiled the curtain from the memorial plaque. Then, he and his companions had a tour in the college's facilities that included 44 lecture halls, a theater, a library, a chapel, 166 administrative offices, a cafeteria, four meeting rooms, a medical clinic and the most important technical facilities and laboratories. The college has 16 labs in physics, chemistry, biology and research. The college is located on a total area of 28000 square meters and has nine thousand students.
At the end of the tour, Dr. Al Hammed thanked the government for the continuous support. Also, he thanked Vice- Rectorate, Project Administration and Deanship of IT and Distance Learning for their efforts. Moreover, Rector thanked members of College of Sciences and Humanities at Al Kharj and the Directorate of Media and Public Relations and all who have participated in the project success. He said we are working hard to accomplish the rest of the college buildings upon schedule.
