Research interests
I am interested to study description of the fourth state of matter, my research interests include
DC glow discharge, e.g. the total Current- voltage (I-V) curves for the discharge , the electron temperature, electron density, electron energy distribution function, degree of ionization ….etc as a function of the operating conditions e.g. gas pressure , working gas types, electric and applied powers, electrode material, electrode gap space, gas flow rates …..etc. Later on the model of the formed plasma must be defined e.g. Local Thermal- Equilibrium (LTE) , low pressure steady state Corona , Collisional- Radiative model. A DC glow discharge plasma surface modification techniques, Plasma treatment of different materials at different operating conditions such as exposure time, types of gases (Ar, H2, O2…..etc), electric power, gas pressures, flow rates ..etc. The properties of the treated materials will be measured ,at the different operation conditions, e.g. the contact angle, surface energy, the adhesive properties, the change of the surface roughness, crystallinity, morphology, etching, wettability, surface free energy, surface topography, , chemical composition …etc. according to the available diagnostic techniques
