My research generally focuses on investigating the roles of the main extracellular matrix (ECM) molecules such as Decorin, Collagens, and Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in connective tissue formation, regeneration, and remodeling. My Ph.D. ongoing research trying to understand the mechanotransduction, and mechanical activities by which Collagen V regulates the Nano-biomechanical properties, formation, and remodeling of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) condylar cartilage. Understanding ECM molecule's roles and Nano-Biomechanical properties will lay down a strong foundation for biomaterial specialists to invent novel regeneration therapeutic strategies for articular cartilage degradation diseases like osteoarthritis, joints disorder, and inherited disorder syndromes.
