Deanship of IT and Distance Learning concluded a workshop for the e-portal editors titled “Managing website content through the Drupal content management system”. It was held on Monday 29/4/1442AH through Zoom. The workshop was delivered by the e-portal team and in the presence of Vice-Dean for E-Services Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Daej and a number of managers at the deanship.
The workshop began with a welcoming speech from Dr. Al-Daej, in which he welcomed the website editors, stressing the importance of their effective role in managing content and reflecting the good image of their entities by continuously feeding information, data, and exclusive news according to the approved policies. In addition to that, the Deanship has provided a user guide for managing the content on websites and how to take advantage of the available features and advantages easily and easily.
Moreover, Mr. Abdullah Al-Enezi Manager of Digital Content Management explained that the workshop aims to develop capabilities and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with websites and employ them in educational, research, and publishing fields, and the necessity to enrich the content in their respective websites.
In addition, Mr. Walid Al-Sulaitin Manager of Application stated that the Deanship seeks to continue the development and improvement of systems and services and the importance of the university's electronic portal, which greatly affects its classification among universities, as the Deanship has developed and improved it with new specifications and features commensurate with the requirements of everyone.
Furthermore, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Angari Manager of Customer Service indicated that the Deanship is keen to provide knowledge and technical support and to create communication channels with all the beneficiaries of the e-portal to overcome the difficulties that may arise for the website editors, as well as providing them with guidelines and policies adopted by the Deanship to help them keep abreast of new changes in websites.
