Dr.Adel Basais Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Asiri, congratulated student Wafaa Al-Otaibi and the student Fay Al-Omari for achieving first place in “Women in Data Science” Conference (WiDS poster competition 2021).
The conference was organized by Prince Sultan University in cooperation with the Stanford University of America and with the participation of female speakers and scientists in data science from Arab and foreign countries belonging to academic circles, institutions, and international companies. The students' participation was titled Sentiment Analysis of E-learning Tweets during the COVID-19 pandemic using Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
t is worth noting that the conference "Women in Data Science", in its fourth edition, aims to inspire and educate data scientists around the world and those interested in this matter and support women, especially in this field, because of the strong quantitative and analytical skills that women possess in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The forum provides an opportunity to hear the latest research and applications related to data science in several fields, exchange ideas, and cooperation with various disciplines between researchers in global data science networks.
