Represented by the Institute of Research and Consulting Service, PSAU signed a strategic partnership with the Autism Center of Excellence. Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Hamid Rector of PSAU signed the agreement on behalf of the university, and Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, Majid Al-Ghanimi on behalf of the center.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation and benefit from the capabilities of the Special Education Department of the University’s College of Education in the field of studies, research, consultations, and training.
Areas of cooperation included providing specialized consultations, rehabilitative services, contributing to conducting and applying research studies related to autism spectrum disorder or applied behavior analysis, in addition to training specialists in the field of autism spectrum disorder and transitional services for people with disabilities, and cooperation in the field of field training opportunities for students of the Department of Special Education At university. It also included professional rehabilitation and providing a model for housing solutions for people with an autism spectrum disorder, cooperation in conducting courses, forums, and seminars, support for families and society through awareness of autism spectrum disorder and applied behavior analysis.
